Bangkok has its fair share of Palaces and Pagodas but it is surely most infamous for its sex shows and lady-boys, so I will expect the unexpected ! From Bangkok I also have the opportunity to visit the ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ on a day tour and get a good insight into what really happened here during the war.
Further south I catch a ferry over to the tropical island of Ko Samui. Here I can either put my feet up for a few days or have the option of easily visiting the smaller islands of Ko Pha-Ngan and Ko Tao. The islands have some of the world’s finest beaches and the numerous great dive spots will take you into a vibrant underwater paradise filled with exotic fish and coral gardens.
